Keeping the customers satisfied

This is the 4th time I have seen The Sounds Of Simon and what a pleasure it is with every gig. Perfect harmonies, spot-on acoustic guitar from Ben and great banter between him and Adam. The attention to detail and knowledge of the history of S & G is second-to-none. The supporting musicians(drums, bass and keys)should not be forgotten, as they are all top-class in their own right. If you like the music of S & G, or just Paul Simon as a solo artist, you will have a thoroughly enjoyable evening

The show was great and I felt there were some subtle touches which only a true fan would pick up on. [Ben] was very impressive as Paul. I thought the set list was excellent..

Highlights were many. I particularly enjoyed Train In The Distance, Slip Sliding Away, and all the songs with just two voices and guitar. When [they] sang with just guitar and you both it was very very special. Probably most impressive in that respect was Old Friends for the guitar playing as I play most [Paul Simon] songs but that one I have yet to nail!

I’ve just got home after seeing your gig at solihull, you may remember my mother as the one moaning about you not playing Bright eyes!!! The whole family thought you were brilliant, really enjoyed the show, excellent musicians – the lot of you! Thanks for a great night,

Thought you were great, and thanks for playing Cecilia – or were you going to do it anyway? Sounds of Silence was absolutely spot on. Took me back to my teenage years. Thank you!

A most inspiring show, another sell out and a fantastic response from our customers. Thank you so much for a great Friday evening, the club was packed to the rafters and the music, as ever, was superb. See you next year!

‘Having listened and enjoyed immensely one or two local performances by ‘Sounds of Simon’ we decided they would be the perfect musical complement to our son’s wedding in 2009.  We approached Ben and they agreed to provide the dance music etc. for our celebrations.

Our son and his wife had not had the benefit of hearing the band so relied totally on our recommendations.  The minute the band struck up at the wedding reception the smiling faces on our son and his new brides’ face said it all.  They were as bowled over as we had been and the evening was fantastic.  Eighteen months later, wedding guests still comment on the fantastic band we had found. Ben and Steve [Paul and Art] and all the members are always completely professional.  Their music is fantastic and varied, Ben interacts with the audience very well, which is so important, and it is obvious they enjoy ‘plying their trade’ as much as the listener enjoys hearing it. We have heard Ben and Steve several times now and our family are still first in the queue to buy tickets when we know they are coming to our local town as it’s always such a great evening.  Thoroughly recommend them!’

Hi guys, thought last night’s gig was great. The drums were amazing as well, better than your usual drummer… 😉 Seriously though, it was good! Keep up the good work.

The great advantage of being a promoter is that I get to work with some great guys and gals, in fact I will not work with anyone who does not fit my high standards.  It was a delight to have the band and yes I can confirm a booking for next year.

Thanks for a fantastic evening last Thursday . My wife bought our tickets for a birthday surprise. Yep that was me in the third row singing my head off. We will definitely come and see you again and tell all our friends. Keep it up the music was great.

Taking the Paul Simon (and now Art Garfunkel) songbook, the band rip through all the favourites. Amazing.

Hi, we came to the cheltenham show and just wanted to say the most impressive thing for me was the muscianship – particularly the second half which had so much energy. I thought the arrangments really good and surprised me for a tribute act.  My partner is the big fan and he enjoyed the stories behind each song and it made the whole thing very entertaining. we will keep an eye on your tour list and try and come again.

Jenny

We had such a FANTASTIC night with you and the band at the Astor Theatre in Deal in April. I am sure you have gathered more fans from that performance. Certainly the people (whom we didn’t know) on our table were knocked out. I gave them your website details. Hud and Malc were blown away by the vocals and musicianship

Ann-Marie, The Astor Theatre, Kent

One word ( used several times) to describe your performance last night was ” awesome”. You truly were. Your set kept the young and old entertained, grooving with your great selection of tracks and Ben and I absolutely loved it.

This message is to tell you how fabulous you were, my husband and I enjoyed your show very much. Incredible how you changed yourselves into Simon & Garfunkel not only by the way you were dressed but the performance it was brilliant. And of course the quality of your band and your guitarplay, fantastic!
